The HydroFlush is a fully automatic waste water pumping system suitable for pumping waste water to a higher level when gravity drainage is not possible or economical to install.

The system is suitable for installing either at the initial building stage or retro fitting to existing buildings and can accept waste connections from a shower or basin or similar.

The system consists of a compact odour tight unit with a built in automatic waste water pump.

The HydroFlush is easy to install due to both its size and the small bore (22mm) discharge pipework required.

Installation guidelines
It is important to note that these instructions are for guidance only. Please refer to the full Installation and Operating Guidelines when specifying / installing the product.

Siting the product
The HydroFlush should be positioned on a firm level surface, resistant to condensation. The unit must be located lower than the outflow of the appliances served so as to provide a gravity fall into the unit.

It is extremely important to site the HydroFlush with access in mind in the event of maintenance being required.

Inlet connections
The waste water inlet is located on the side of the unit via the flexible 40mm rubber connector provided. The wider end of this 40mm connector should be connected to the HydroFlush with the other end to the 40mm uPVC waste pipe from the shower or wash hand basin. The provided plastic clips should be used to firmly fix the inlet pipework in place.

Discharge connection
The discharge pipework should be 22mm copper or uPVC and should be firmly fixed and rigid. An elbow with non-return valve is supplied with the unit for situations where there is a need to pump vertically, this is connected to the discharge spigot using a jubilee clip. The non-return valve should be fixed to the HydroFlush using a jubilee clip. It is very important to ensure that the directional arrow on the non-return valve points in the direction of the flow, if pumping horizontally the directional arrow should show along the top.

All joins in the discharge line should be made using solvent cement, under no circumstances should push fit or compression fittings be used.

The HydroFlush is designed for one lift only and the vertical lift should be within 500mm of the unit.

IMPORTANT – It is recommended that there are no bends in the vertical lift, however if this is unavoidable a minimum of slow radius bends may be used.

Electrical connection
A qualified person in accordance with the Institute Of Electrical Engineers Regulations should connect the unit to the appropriate mains supply taking into account all the electrical information provided.

IMPORTANT – All pump systems must be used with an appropriate motor rated protection device.

The HydroFlush does not require any particular maintenance other than general good housekeeping. The unit is capable of accepting all household-cleaning products; however do not dispose of solvents, acids or any other strong chemicals via the HydroFlush.

Health & safety
As with all site work, the danger of working with water and electricity can pose a severe threat to health if obvious and fundamental precautions are not taken. Therefore if you are in any doubt regarding the installation, please contact us.

All site work must be undertaken by qualified personnel only.

These notes are for guidance only and it is for the installer to ensure the installation is in accordance with all structural and regulatory requirements.
