There are many remote homes and businesses that currently direct their foul waste to septic tanks, which in turn discharge to a water course or similar. As of 1st January 2020 new General Binding Rules come into force which restrict such discharges.

Advice for users is that they may be able to:

  • Connect to a mains sewer – This is often not an option as the septic tank would have been installed as there was no local sewer in the first place;
  • Install a drainage field or infiltration system – This is a costly undertaking that requires large areas of land;
  • Install a treatment plant – Another expensive solution both for installation and follow on costs including extensive maintenance of the various mechanical and electrical parts contained in a modern treatment plant, as well as annual desludging costs.

Edincare Pumps offers another solution, in the form of our MagnaPro range of package pumping stations. We offer a wide range of storage capacities in excess of 15,000 litres as well as pumps that are capable of pumping up to 2,000 metres, ensuring we are able to offer a solution for even the most remote of properties.

A typical four bedroom property would require a 900 litre storage capacity. Our pump stations are built to the highest of standards ensuring minimal maintenance and long service life for our systems. Furthermore, our experience in tank installation has enabled us to design a sturdy chamber that is simple and inexpensive to install.

Don’t fall foul of new regulations – contact Edincare Pumps today on 01442 211554 to discuss replacing your septic tank with a MagnaPro pumping station.
