REQUIREMENT

Edincare was asked to provide internal, below ground packaged pumping stations to lift ground, foul, storm and surface water separately to the main sewer from two new properties. Additionally, we were asked to provide full real-time remote monitoring for all pump stations.

METHOD

Following a full site survey by an Edincare Project Coordinator, we specified six pumping stations, which would function independently to fulfil all aspects of the brief. With the quotation, we specified works to be carried out by the client before our arrival on site including excavations and construction of precast concrete chambers.

On approval, we agreed a works schedule and supplied a site specific Risk Assessment and Method Statement.

The pumping stations were installed and commissioned by our engineers in the precast concrete chambers. Each of the six pumping stations were fitted with a telemetric monitoring system.

RESULT

The pump stations met all technical requirements and were installed to schedule and budget.

The telemetric systems call our 24/7 manned call centre if a pump trips out, high level is reached or there is a loss of power to any of the six stations. Our team then contacts the client using telephone numbers provided.

FOCUS ON:

TELEMETRIC SYSTEMS DELIVER PEACE OF MIND

Our telemetric systems provide comprehensive real-time monitoring of installations where system failure would be catastrophic.

It is designed to alert the 24/7 manned Edincare Helpdesk should a high level condition, pump failure or loss of power occur.

Once a signal is received, our team contacts the client by telephone.

The system is designed to work with all our pump stations and can be retrofitted to existing installations.

Depending on site location or client preference the system can use a hardwired landline or a mobile network.
