REQUIREMENT

We were asked to design, install and commission a large twin-pump pumping station into a pre-existing concrete sump for foul water removal. Prior to our attendance on site, we liaised with the client to ensure works were carried out to our specifications. Additionally, we planned to run electrofusion discharge pipework to the sewer.

METHOD

• We carried out a site survey to confirm electrical, access cover and discharge manhole requirements. • We oversaw the works to ensure complience with our specification.
• We supplied and installed the twin-pump pumping station into the concrete sump below B1 level.
• We commissioned the pumps sets and ran the discharge to the adjacent sewer connection using electrofusion HDPE pipe.

RESULTS

• Liaising directly with the main contractor during every phase of the works, enabled us to provide the best possible foundation for a well-managed installation. This facilitated a simple and cost effective turnkey solution.
• DN80 pumps, with an 80mm solids clearance, were specified to reduce the risk of breakdowns.
• After installation, we can offer scheduled servicing to prevent breakdowns and lower the lifetime cost of the pump set.
