Private home with two-storey basement

REQUIREMENTS

Two foul water and two groundwater pumping stations were required to pump water from a redeveloped house. The property has a two-storey basement so high-head pumps were needed to discharge from pre-cast reinforced concrete chambers that were installed below that level.

METHOD

• A quotation was raised based on the architectural plans.
• A pre-installation site survey was conducted to ensure the site was ready for our engineers.
• Our highly-trained engineers were on site for a week for full installation and commissioning of the pumping stations, before handover to the client.

RESULTS

• Edincare design team designed pump stations to meet the design consultant’s specification.
• Sub-assemblies were manufactured within our warehouse facility to ensure the installations could be conducted in a timely manner.

BATTERY BACKUP SYSTEMS FOR GROUNDWATER PUMPING STATIONS

Battery backup systems are required for groundwater pumping stations because the flow of groundwater cannot be controlled. Batteries should be replaced in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendations to ensure maximum runtime in the event of mains power failure.
