The BlueMax is a fully automatic waste water pumping system suitable for pumping condensate water to a higher level when gravity drainage is not possible or economical to install.

The system is suitable for installing either at the initial building stage or retro fitting to existing buildings and can accept waste connections from a condensate boiler, automatic refrigeration, steam oven or similar.

The system consists of a compact unit with a built in automatic waste water pump.

The BlueMax is easy to install due to both its size and the small bore (9.5mm) discharge tube required.

Installation guidelines
It is important to note that these instructions are for guidance only. Please refer to the full Installation and Operating Guidelines when specifying / installing the product.

Siting the product
The BlueMax should be located as close to the served appliance as is possible, though it can be located further away as long as the appliance can gravity drain into the unit. The BlueMax also comes complete with wall mounting tabs moulded onto the unit for ease of location and installation.

Inlet connections
The condensate/water inlets from the served appliance are provided pre-cut into the housing on the top of the unit. These inlets are cut to accept 28mm diameter pipe, however smaller diameter pipework can be acceptable if used with the appropriate pipe reducer.

Discharge connection
The discharge line for the BlueMax is connected to the 9.5mm OD barbed discharge adaptor. Provided with the unit is a length of 9.5mm evacuation tubing which should be used as the discharge pipe work. It is imperative that the unit discharge vertically before any horizontal run and the pipework is firmly fixed to prevent any twists in the 9.5mm evacuation tube. The unit comes complete with a removable non-return valve inside the 9.5mm discharge adaptor.

IMPORTANT – It is recommended that there are no bends in the vertical lift, however if this is unavoidable a minimum of slow radius bends may be used.

Electrical connection
A qualified person in accordance with the Institute Of Electrical Engineers Regulations should connect the unit to the appropriate mains supply taking into account all the electrical information provided.

IMPORTANT – All pump systems must be used with an appropriate motor rated protection device.

Maintenance
The BlueMax requires minimal maintenance however it is recommended that the collection tank be cleaned out every 6–8 weeks with standard domestic cleaning products to prevent any build up of materials which may adversely affect the operation of the pump.
